Easy To Make Valentine’s Day Crafts And Ideas

Valentine’s Day is next month and it’s never too early to start thinking ahead of schedule. It’s a favorite day among romantics young and old. It is a day full of adoration and appreciation. Some children will enjoy this day by passing out Valentine’s Day cards and candy hearts out at school. School doesn’t have to be the only place where they get to celebrate this holiday. Valentine's Day Heart Caterpillar
Here is a cute and easy craft for your little love bug to make.  You can create this craft on a piece of paper or glue it onto a card for your child to give out on this Valentine’s Day.

Supplies:
Scissors
Glue
Googly Eyes
Pink Paper
Black Marker

Cut out five medium sized hearts from the colored paper for the body of the caterpillar and one big one for the head.  Then cut out two tiny hearts that will be used for the antennas. Glue the five medium sized hearts and the large one overlapping onto a sheet of paper.  Glue on two googly eyes. Grab the marker and draw legs for your caterpillar along with a smile. Draw two lines for the antenna. Glue the tiny hearts for the antenna on.

Valentine Crowns
Your child can be queen or king for the day with this crown.  Flower crowns are very popular at the moment and this version is simple to make and a perfect holiday spin on the trend.

Supplies:
Scissors
Pink Construction Paper
White Cardstock or Ribbon
Glue
Glitter

Cut out some heart shapes from construction paper. Cut ribbon or cardstock in a long strip or for the base of the crown.  Measure your child’s head and fit accordingly. You can tie the ribbon in a bow so it can be taken easily on and off.  If you use the cardstock as your crown base, glue the ends of the cardstock strip together. Have your child decorate the hearts for their crown with glitter. After the hearts are done being decorated, glue them around the outside of crown. Let it sit and dry for a while and then it will be ready to wear!

Foam Heart Friendship Necklaces
These necklaces are a great way to bring some love to everyone. Your child can make them for themselves, their family and friends.

Supplies:
Yarn
Beads
Craft Foam
Scissors
Hole Puncher

Cut yarn in strips that are two to three feet long. Cut heart shapes out of craft foam.  Punch out a hole from the foam heart.  Have your child thread the yarn through the hole you created.  Let them decorate their necklace by stringing beads onto the yarn. Tie the two ends of the yarn together into a knot.

Heart Shaped Mini Pizzas
Does your child go all heart-eye-emoji for pizza? Take your pizza game up to the next level with these heart shaped mini pizzas.

Supplies:
Pizza Dough
Pizza Sauce
Cheese
Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter

Roll out pizza dough and use your cookie cutter to cut out hearts from dough. Have your child spread pizza sauce around on each heart. Sprinkle with cheese and place in oven to cook. Bake your mini pizzas according to cooking time on pizza dough package.

Valentine’s Day Cookie Bar
Sweeten up your child’s day with a cookie bar! They will not only enjoy decorating the cookies but eating them as well.

Supplies:
Sugar Cookies
White Frosting
Pink Or Red Food Coloring
Red, Pink Or White Candy (Red Hots, M&M’s, Sprinkles)

Take white frosting and place separately into small bowls. Drop red or pink food coloring into bowls and mix in.  Add different amounts of drops to each bowl to give you various different shades of red or pink. Pour your candy into some other small bowls for easy decorating access. After you have made your cookie decorating bar spread, let your child decorate the cookies to their choosing.
